Each year Crickhowell Town Council ring-fences an amount of their budget for making grants to support non-profit-making local organisations. They can provide one-off grants up to a maximum of £500 to organisations based within the community of Crickhowell, which demonstrate appropriate match-funding and fit with the wider Place Plan objectives.
A Crickhowell Town Council grant is normally available only to groups or organisations which demonstrate that they have made serious attempts to raise money by other means and sources, including their own fund-raising activities.
Crickhowell Town Council will
• ensure that all grants awarded by Crickhowell Town Council shall comply in all respects with any provisions or limitations imposed by the Local Government Act 1972 or any other statutory requirement;
• not normally award a grant to an organisation that has been in receipt of a grant from the Council in the previous 24 months;
• expect successful organisations in receipt of a grant to agree to allow Crickhowell Town Council to feature notification of such awards on the Town Council web site.
