Mission Statement
The Mission of the Crickhowell Town Council is to Preserve, Promote and Progress the Quality of Life in Crickhowell.
Crickhowell Town Council will assess the local impact of Governmental, County Council and National Park policies and will use its influence, finance and legal powers to achieve the following outcomes:
Encouraging the availability of more affordable housing in any future housing projects with particular regard to local need
Fostering the development of local employment opportunities
Promoting a sustainable environment
Improving the quality of life across the demographic groups (gender, age, ethnicity and social ) that make up our community
Supporting a resident and visitor-friendly mix of retail and service outlets.
To achieve these goals, the Town Council aims to work as a team and in partnership with all other bodies, whether statutory, private, voluntary or community, in order to enhance the quality of life and social and economic well-being of its population and to promote the town in an active and positive manner.
The Council consists of 12 elected members, one of whom is the Mayor, who is elected from amongst the councillors for a maximum period of 2 years. Councillor Ann Jeremiah is the Mayor for 2021/22 and Deputy Mayor is Councillor Paul Evans

Please note that the role of Clerk is part-time therefore you may not receive an immediate response.
Meetings
The Council meets monthly (except in August) on the third Tuesday of the month. Meetings are open to the public however members of the public have no automatic right to speak. If you would like to address the Council please inform the Clerk to the Council at least 7 days in advance of the meeting. Please note that Councillors will not be able to enter into a dialogue regarding your concerns and it may be necessary to agenda your concern for debate at a future meeting as decisions cannot be made on items not on the Agenda. From time to time members of the public may be asked to leave the meeting if the Council needs to consider certain matters in confidence.
